FOUR WAYS | ECEC | In Person
Four Ways ECEC offers a contemporary, evidence-based approach tailored to the evolving needs of educators and children. It provides a practical set of tools and resources that simplify behaviour support, making it more effective and consistent across the service.
Description
Educators will learn FOUR WAYS to respond to behaviour, these include: Monitor, Coach, Prompt, and Signal to support behaviour.
-
Monitor: to keep a check on low level behaviours that aren't impacting on anyone, educators maybe looking & listening but continue to prioritise other tasks like engaging.
-
Coach: this refers to Emotion Coaching, which is great at doing many things, like co-regulation, de-escalation, building EQ, empathy & relationships....and much more.
-
Prompt: is a method used to encourage a specific response, mostly positive behaviours, by providing cues, reminders or assistance. This guides and encourages the children to choose the desired behaviours taught through your positive behaviour curriculum frameworks.
-
Signal: is a method used to guide behaviour, that encourages children to consider their behaviour choices!
